Child’s Size Small: Ages 1-3; 27″ From Shoulder to Floor
Customer Review: love it!
My 3 yr old absolutely loves it. I bought this for her for halloween and she was ecstatic. We still use it for dress up. It’s extremely soft and comfortable just like the description said. I love that it’s long sleeve and long, perfect for chilly Halloween night.

The Gucci handbag is one of the most coveted purses on the market today. Of course, the designs of Guccio Gucci are desired but what one may not understand is how he came to be. The history of the Gucci handbags is an interesting one and has set the tone in the couture world of today’s fashion cosmos. Becoming an educated person about the history of the Gucci house is as easy using the computer keyboard.

Before 1906, designing handbags was just a dream of Guccio Gucci’s. In 1906, however, he opened a saddle shop in Florence. He was a whiz with leather items, and he quickly became well known for his horse tack. It was not until 1938 that he opened his first retail store on the Via Condotti in Rome.

This store was devoted to his fine crafted leather goods. However, in 1947, the famous Gucci designer bag with a bamboo handle was created. This new area of leather items initiated a firestorm of purchases that would shoot his name into fashion history.

With the design of the handbag came fame that Guccio Gucci could have only dreamed of in 1906. Everyone around the world began to see famous starlets such as Audrey Hepburn and Princess Grace Kelly carrying a Gucci handbag.

This type of fame would follow the Gucci house for years to come. The company saw hard times in the 1990′s, but with a new management and design team, he has returned to the forefront of the designer handbag niche.

When looking for the perfect accompaniment to that little black dress, one would be smart to find that perfect Gucci handbag. Guccio Gucci created a huge empire that still stands tall in the fashion world today. The house of Gucci has come a long way from 1906 when the small saddlery was created by Guccio. With the internet, anyone can own a piece of Gucci if they are willing to pay the price.

In the nineteenth century, study and initial research on the science of electricity paved the way for a number of inventors to develop a realistic and inexpensive electrical home lighting device. Sir Joseph Swan and Thomas Edison were able to invent the initial light bulb. In the following years, people all over the world accepted the invention of light bulbs and started using them as the prime source of lighting.

Lighting has been made available to mankind for centuries. However, before the invention of the light bulb, lighting was a messy and difficult job since it involved the use of fire, wax, fat and oil. This practice was risky and perilous on a number of occasions and almost always left soot on everything around the lighting source. These shortcomings in traditional lighting sources created the need of electrical light bulbs.

The modern light bulb is a very simple device. Even with modernity and ongoing development, the light bulb has not been altered much from its initial design. At the base of a light bulb, there are two metal contacts that connect to the ends of an electrical circuit. These contacts are attached to two stiff wires that are connected to a thin metal filament.

The filament in a light bulb is made of a long and microscopic length of tungsten metal. Tungsten is used in most incandescent light bulbs as it is considered to be an ideal filament material. A thinner conductor is known to heat more easily than a thicker conductor. They are more resistant to the movement of electrons, which are known to emit light in most sources.

All the parts used to make a light bulb are housed in a glass bulb. This is filled with an inert gas, usually argon. When the bulb is connected to a power supply, electric current flows from one contact to the other, through the wires and the filament. This electric current heats the atoms within the light bulb. This entire process allows us to experience lighting. Light bulbs only work for a certain period of time, and need to be replaced once they stop functioning ?” most people say the bulb has ?blown out? and simply purchase a new one to replace it.

Your little princess can recreate fairy tale fantasies dressed as a beautiful Ariel Disney Princess. Costume features a long dressy gown with luxurious gold detailing that’s fit for a princess. Comes in Child’s Size 4-6.

Masturbation is a very normal and natural act amongst young children. Some early childhood experts state that the practice begins in the baby stage; many young male infants have an oft observed habit of rubbing their genital areas presumably in an effort to pleasure themselves. Some even suggest that the practice of masturbation begins in the womb, an ultrasound of the developing baby may prove this claim.

Problems arise when young children are scolded and corrected over their masturbatory activities; this causes unnecessary fear, guilt and worry in the lives of exploring infants. Perhaps a discussion about personal discretion is in order but negative conditioning about sex and sexuality often occurs in early childhood owing to the shown disdain by parental and other adult figures in the child’s life. An aggressively expressed introduction to sexual education is definitely not the way to go!

Masturbation is an ubiquitously common activity that prepares young children for later sexual awakening in pubescence. In fact the lifetime attitude of individuals concerning their bodies and sexual pleasure can be set in place from a very early age. Depending on the personal attitudes displayed by parents, either positive or negative, this will affect the psycho-sexual conditioning of the young child.

Adding to this, the sexual education that many children learn from the school playground often adds to the confusion surrounding sex and body sense. So it is crucially important that a sound sexual education begins in the home well before the first school-day.

When a child is observed touching their bodies in a stimulating fashion this is often a good time for a parent to have a sexual discussion with the minor. Great care must be taken so as not to put in place negative perceptions of sex and masturbation in the child’s mind.

The inability of western society to discuss sex and the prevalent attitudes to sexual knowledge are alarming to say the least. Is it any wonder that impotence and general sexual frustration runs rife among the adult population? Research has shown that many sexual problems from molestation to rape fantasies are often promulgated in childhood. Surely this alone is sufficient reason to start healthy sexual education at a young age.

Let’s get real about sexual pleasure and masturbation and give our children a healthy perspective for life. Sex is natural, sex is fun, masturbation is for everyone!

It is always better to plan and set your budget when decorating your living room, as you may otherwise go overboard in expenses.

The furniture you place in the living room depends on the size of the living room. It is only when you have the exact measurement of the room that you can decide what size of sofa and other living-room furniture is best suitable for your living room. If you have enough space in the corner to keep a corner sofa, you might as well keep one there. However, if there is little space, a normal sofa accompanied by decorative stands and plants enhances the beauty of the living room.

When buying living room furniture, make sure that the color of the walls match the color of the furniture or at least have matching shades with the furniture. Check for a warranty on the furniture, especially expensive teakwood tables and leather sofas. To get the best rate, it is always better to check out a clearance sale. Lighting is another important point of enhancing the look of your living room furniture. The living room has to have proper lighting to give a soothing feeling.

Placing decorative plants and stands in corners enhances not only the living room, but also its furniture. Cleaning the living room furniture is very important to present a lively look to the furniture. So it is better to vacuum the sofas, carpets and curtains at least once a month. To enhance the look of the living room, you could also place matching paintings on the wall.

Few things are more enjoyable than sharing a delicious meal with friends. Why not add to the fun with eye-catching decorations, cleverly themed meals and even costumes? Throwing a dinner party is a great way to show off your creative abilities and your culinary skills all at the same time. Just think of a theme you enjoy – the ocean, eighties movies, haunted houses – decorate your home and call some friends over. If you need a little inspiration before getting started, consider some of these ideas:

Princess Party. No, you’re not too old. Dig out your grandmother’s old tea set, or assemble one from the elegant cups and saucers you can find at thrift stores or antique shops. Serve finger sandwiches, tea and petite fours. And, of course, dress to the nines – 19th century style. If you’re not sure what to wear, check websites or history books for old dress designs and hairstyles. Hit the costume shops and used clothing stores until you and your friends have your costumes together. You’re now ready extend your pinkies and politely discuss Victorian poetry (or not). If you want to go all out (and don’t want to cook), see if your town has a local tea room. High tea (usually served around four or five in the afternoon) at a nice restaurant can be tons of fun.

Traveling Dinner. This can be a lot of fun with a larger crowd, especially if some of your guests don’t know each other well yet. After each course you serve, require your guests (or at least gently encourage them) to move around the table. No one should end up sitting next to the same people they ate the last course with. This can be a great way to help your guests mingle and make sure no one feels excluded. Someone people even take this basic idea one step (or a short drive) further: if you and your friends want to co-host a dinner, you can serve each course at a different house. This gets people moving around instead of sitting in one place, speaking to the same neighbors all evening – and it adds a sense of adventure to the whole party.

Evening Picnic. If you have a large enough backyard to entertain, or live near a nice park, you should be taking advantage of it. Serve a light, summery meal (lots of fruit and cold dishes) outside close to sunset. Try to time it so people with be able to watch the sunset as they enjoy their meal. If the season is right, you can even add a Midsummer Night’s Dream theme – glitter and costumes for all! Hooray! If possible, light candles or torches as the night gets darker.

These are just a few suggestions to get you started. Anything that holds your interest or makes you laugh can be the basis for a wonderful party.

How much do you know about weddings? Answer these 7 simple questions to test your wedding i.q.:

1) True or False: The trend of white wedding gowns began with the wedding of Queen Victoria.

2) Which of the following did Princess Diana do at her wedding?:

a) Break a heel off of her shoe

b) Make a mistake with the groom’s name during her vows

c) Carry a bouquet of red roses

3)Bridesmaid jewelry should be:

a) Beautiful and affordable, and given as a gift from the bride

b) Extravagant – the bride can choose it and make the bridesmaids pay for it

c) What? My attendants need bridesmaid jewelry?

4) True or False: The most popular month for weddings in the United States is July.

5) The average wedding in the U.S. costs:

a) Under $15,000

b) Under $30,000

c) Over $30,000

6) What is the average age of the first time American bride?

7) During the processional, does the flower girl walk down the aisle before or after the bridesmaids?

Answers:

1) True. Before Queen Victoria popularized the white wedding, brides wore gowns of any color that they liked. There was meaning to each color choice, such as “true blue”.

2) b. Princess Diana switched her intended’s first and second names when reciting her vows. Instead of pledging herself to “Charles Phillip Arthur George”, the tongue tied bride said “Phillip Charles Arthur George”. (Boy she must have been embarrassed!) In response, Prince Charles famously quipped, “Diana, you have actually married my father”.

3) a. There are many options for bridesmaid jewelry that is both beautiful and affordable. Earrings and necklaces handcrafted from sterling silver, Swarovski crystals, and freshwater pearls make lovely gifts from the bride to her attendants.

4) False. June is the most popular month for weddings.

5) b. The average wedding in the United States costs about $28,000 (and many cost much more!)

6) 25 years old. The average age for the first time groom is 27.

7) After. The flower girl is the last person to walk down the aisle before the bride and her father begin their march. It makes perfect sense if the flower girl is scattering rose petals – it wouldn’t do for the bride to walk on flowers that had already been crushed underfoot by the rest of the bridal party.

How did you do?

6 – 7 correct answers: Start up the Wedding March – Here Comes the Bride!

4 – 5 correct answers: Not bad; grab a stack of bridal magazines and you will be up to speed in no time.

3 or fewer correct answers: You had better hire a wedding planner!

Child’s Size LARGE: Ages 5-7; 37″ From Shoulder to Floor

At the end of past century and of course in the dawn of new millennium, the ?HAPPENIING?, with substantial enthusiasm and lasting long in ?FUTURE? were the key influencing factors in the fashion Industry. People wish to live in present ?” No looking back. The reality was significant, as the world changed so rapidly, resulting in huge developments, making people to expect more n more from the present and the emerging economy.

Today, the world has completely different future, since forecasted. After years of negligence the history again emerged with wider acceptance. People again started appreciating the core values, old traditions, ceremonies and hold them as a treasure for us. They look back to the past, searching for our origins, something significant to have. All this affected our lives, our preferences and our selections to reposition ourselves. This is also happens in fashion too.

Old Fashion – Back In Rhythm
People are thriving to get equilibrium point in a wavering world. Here, history is only our inspiration. The fashion industry is surged with look-alikes that were present in the market even before the originals, which empowers to a few designers. It is time mull over the situation, as the fashion industry paused instead moving ahead in creating new innovation. It is going diving deeper into the past to bring out contemporary version than the fast trends and buildups. Alike politics, ideology for ethics, values, regulation, category and style is apparently noticeable in fashion industry too.

Bouncing Back of Historic Echoes – Repeating History
History rolls out our own tradition. In fashion industry, the journey starts from ancient Europe. People value and re-organize treasures, diving deep into the times of past European clothing fashions till great designs of embroideries and laces of great grand mothers. People are witnessing the coming back of old fashion and retro-trends.

Class Fashion
Attraction, high-class and stylishness are keys for to-be trends. Designers inspired from the old members of the aristocracy, at present it is the high society. The sophisticated lady is now dressing like a queen, princess or an empress. The present high class is circumspect and less lavish, in contrast to the show-off fashion trends.

Classic styles
Due to change in preferences, all the inspiration sources (like Couture classics, British classics, and masculine weaving classics), are embedded with elegance, turn into feminine fashion.

Styles from pioneers and plains
The journey of historic fashion crosses all borders of the different countries, fashion from Britain, France, Russia etc? to the country life, gypsy and folk fashion styles. People can find the routes of fashion inspiration from the initial European emigrants to the America.

Ethnic Styles
The influence of Eastern countries over fashion industry is declining; however, their economy is becoming a real competitive dilemma to the Western World. Albeit, there is considerable cultural influence of African Muslim countries with their exotic jewelry and embroidery designs.

It is confusing that nothing is clear for future. People would only witness influence of above all?

Natural Preference
After a long time with extreme elegance, glitter, shine, mad design, print and pattern mixes, people are moving towards natural harmony. The originals from the Mother Nature, natural textures and shining, the zigzag, allure us. Now, people want to go for endurance and quality of a fabric, the luxury, and the exotic designs.

People are tired of fast fashion trends and the hip hops, now they wish long lasting and timeless comfortable clothing fashions. Keeping distance from ?low cost? clothing, with appearance unveiling high standard of living. People desire all these extravagances for low price.

Conclusion
People will prefer smart and stunning matches, which are the major keys for fashion blends for various motives, materials, and prints all in single outfit. At haphazard mixing, mix-and-match fashion, blended patch works and intense style odds are talk of past.

Should teenage girls wear make up to school before age 16?

I just went over to Yahoo! Answers to play. I like to visit and see what questions interest me and answer the ones that do.

Yesterday I saw one asking for help to apply eye liner make up, a category of the board I had never ventured into and remembered how hard it was to learn how to apply eyeliner in my teen years. I wrote out an answer and just as I was ending with ‘Have fun’, there was a surge in the power and my computer went out. Lost!!!

So a bit earlier, I went back over to see if I could find the question again but couldn’t. What I did see were quite a few questions asking for help from young teenage girls or asking about what age is good to start wearing make up everyday.

My mother was strict. I couldn’t wear makeup outside of the house until I was in Grade 11. I was allowed to practice putting it on at home before that though.

In addition, most schools here in Jamaica still require uniforms. Makeup is simply not an option for teenage girls going to school here.

So I was a bit surprised to see a question over at Yahoo asking if it was OK to wear make up everyday to school and seeing most of the answers saying yes.

Hmmmmmm…

Maybe I’m old school but I feel teenage girls need to concentrate on learning at school. I realise the U.S. is very different from Jamaica but I still feel limits are fine. There are so many aspects to beauty other than what we see in magazines and on TV and like you probably do, I tend to stress inner beauty first.

Self worth has become such an important issue throughout our world that I feel it warrants us going back a bit to basics. My mother taught me that it was my inner qualities that were lasting and important and that outer beauty and knowing how to put myself together well was wonderful but not the more important of the two.

I think teaching our children how to create lives that express peace, harmony, giving, gratitude, love, compassion, wholeness, tolerance and wisdom everyday will go a much farther way to expanding that throughout the world. Then as older teens and young women, our daughters will wear make up that only highlights their natural outer beauty and reflects their fully developed inner beauty as well.

I responded to the question by that young school girl by suggesting that she wait until sixteen to start wearing a bit of eyeliner and a light lip gloss. I also suggested that she could in the meantime practice taking care of her skin by getting an excellent skin care system with cleanser, toner and moisturiser, as good skin is always the key foundation of outer facial beauty.

What do you think? Do young girls have enough pressure to grow up from the ads on TV, society in general and their peers? Is the rest of their life too short to wait until 16 to start wearing make up everyday?

My daugher is now 8 and we’ve already discussed that piercing of her ears and wearing makeup will wait until she’s 16. My sister, who lives in the U.S. and who also has an eight year old daughter is also grooming her to wait for certain things until she?s sixteen.

Pray that we both maintain our sanity, continued friendship and harmonious agreement on limits with our daughters as they reach their teenage years!!! ;-

Stylish and elegant young ladies know that the holiday season is truly their time to shine. For many ‘tweens, it’s the first opportunity to display newfound etiquette (particularly at the table), an improved posture, and most likely a fabulous, age-appropriate party dress.

Many of these girls will also be given additional responsibility – that of junior hostess as Mom serves up a Thanksgiving feast

A good junior hostess abides by the following:

1. Asking Mom what needs to be done and doing it thoroughly and without complaint

2. Greeting each guest with a handshake and a very polite “hello”.

3. Minding one’s manners throughout the day. This is not the time to argue with your bratty brother.

4. If relegated to the “kid table, accepts her position with dignity and grace.

5. Refrains from watching TV, plugging in the iPod, or playing computer games until given the okay to do so.

Gone are the days of wearing sweats and lounging around the house (or hiding out in your room) as Mom and Dad work hard to host a family gathering. Do your best to look your best, and remember that a smile goes a long way for happier holidays. By adopting the above skills now, and focusing to be the best you can be at all times, you’ll be well on your way to becoming an elegant woman. It takes practice, though, so if something doesn’t go off as planned (you spill something or forget to shake Uncle Jake’s hand, etc.) don’t worry – you’ll pull if off successfully the next time.

With age and maturity comes responsibility. I’m confident that you will fall into the festivities fabulously!
